GuestBought a 2015 Cadillac Escalade Platinum about a year ago specifically because I wanted that smooth, floaty ride for cruising around Dubai. Lately though, every little imperfection in the road feels like it’s coming straight through the seats, and the back end actually crashes over bigger dips instead of absorbing them. The magnetic ride control still seems to work because the display changes between Tour and Sport modes, but the comfort level is nowhere near what it used to be. No warning lights or leaks, but the car has 150,000km on it and I’m guessing the original shocks are just worn out internally. I called the dealership for a quote and nearly fell off my chair, so I’m looking for alternatives. A neighbor with a similar Escalade mentioned that some mobile suspension specialists actually know the GM magnetic ride system well and can do the replacement at your home for a fraction of the dealer price. I found a service offering Master Cadillac Suspension Repair from Suspension Repair Dubai, and they claim to use OEM spec parts and recalibrate the ride control module afterwards. That sounds perfect because I’ve heard horror stories about aftermarket magnetic shocks causing error codes. Has anyone here used a mobile service for a Cadillac with Magneride? I’m specifically wondering if they can properly recalibrate the height sensors and if the ride quality after feels exactly like stock. Also curious how long the whole job takes if they come to your villa. Really want my buttery smooth ride back without selling a kidney.
